Access Control

Access Control allows you to monitor and control the movement of people within an organization. This complements other security devices already in operation, protecting both staff and premises.

Access Control:

  • monitors the movement of people within the premises
  • replaces conventional locks and the need for replacement in the event of lost or copied keys
  • controls where staff can enter and leave buildings
  • allows specific access by individuals to building areas at specified times

Access Control Systems range in complexity and cost. The most basic system uses a Keypad requiring a code. This is relatively inexpensive and easy to use, however it is the least secure, as codes are easily misappropriated: thus compromising security.

Card Readers, also known as "Proximity Tags," are pre-programmed cards that are held near the sensor to operate the lock. Should a card be lost, it is simply deactivated and security is not compromised.

Biometric Systems which use finger prints, iris scanners and voice identification are more expensive but offer greater security and are usually used in sensitive situations.

Watford Alarms supplies primarily BPT systems, but will happily supply systems from other manufacturers.

BPT Audio and Visual Door Entry Systems offers value for money and flexibility: supplying cheaper, ready-made package solutions through to bespoke systems for multiple buildings with hundreds of entrances.
